Day 287, At the Smolka's

So it turns out the my Grandpa was in town over the weekend. So my family and I went to go say hi to him up at my Aunt and Uncle's house. It's always fun to go to their house and visit.

Someone gave Cameron a squirt gun. He loved it, and he went around the yard squirting everyone in sight.

My cousin Emily got engaged today, and this is her and her family breaking open a box she made in young woman's.... the box holds all the stuff for her dream wedding. It was fun to watch her open it.

Lets see.... If Cameron is my nephew, and Sidney (the girl in the picture) is my cousins daughter... what would that make her and Cameron? ... like 2nd cousins or something?? I don't know.. anyway.

Day 286, YAY, It's summer!!

IT'S SUMMER TIME!!

Time for .....swimming pools, slip-n-slides, camp fires, staying up late, the 4th of July, 24th of July, sleeping in a tent in the back yard, start gazing, movie nights in the park, Disneyland, road trips, camping, fishing, hiking, running in the sprinklers, BBQs, amusement parks, relaxing, parties, sleep overs, reading in the shade, no more school and many many more...

I LOVE SUMMER!!

Day 285, ALL NIGHT PARTY!

The all night party was awesome! For those of you who don't know... Viewmont High School throws an all night party for all the Seniors after they graduate. It cost 30 $$ to get in, but it's so worth it. The party starts at midnight and goes until 5AM.. Yeah, so it's literally all night! IT ROCKED! It was such a blast, but around 3:30-4AM ish, I got really really tired. I was like a zombie! But I would do it all again in a heart beat. They had all the pizza, nachos, ice cream, cookies, cake, donuts, and drinks you could ever want. UNLIMITED. It was great. They had bounce houses, fortune telling, games, prizes, and even segway scooters!

Day 284, GRADUATION!!!

It's here. Graduation. IT'S FINALLY HERE! I can't believe it. It literally hasn't hit me yet. After 12 long years, It's actually over. I can't believe my eyes.. AHHH...........

My Graduation was at the Dee Events Center in Ogden, and it started at 7:30pm.. I was so nervous!

I should be honest, I went into Graduation thinking that it was going to be this long 2 hour snore fest, but it actually went by really quick, and the people who spoke did great!

Now that I'm Graduated, I know everyone is going to ask me that annoying question.. "What are you going to do next".. I'm going to tell you guys once, and you better listen. ;) First, I'm going to enjoy my last summer. When I say last, I mean for being free.. no job... and no school..which by the way I will still be blogging everyday all summer! SO KEEP READING! Then later in the fall, I'm going to find a job, earn and save money, and maybe audition for another musical. Then after Christmas, I think I'm going to try to go to either Salt Lake Community College, or else Weber. That's all I have planned, no more questions! HAHA... and no, I don't know what I want to do career wise yet.

Here is my family and I after Graduation. My brother Scott was there with his son Cameron, but he left early so that he could get the little boy home, and not have to wait in traffic. I'm happy he came! :) I love my family so much, and I couldn't have done it with out them!!  I LOVE YOU GUYS!! THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!

My mom is the motivation in my life, and she helped me so much with all my packets I had to make up, and she was with me ever step of the way! Thanks mom!

My Dad supports me in everything I do, and he is so awesome! He also helped me with all of my work. Thanks Dad!

Well guys... I'M GRADUATED! And you (readers) were with me literally everyday! Thanks for everyone, especially Ms. Fred at Viewmont High School! She was my Base Camp teacher (along with my Creative Writing teacher) .. she was the teacher that helped me with my packets, and pushed me forward. I most likely wouldn't be graduating if it wasn't for her! THANKS FRED DAWG!

Now it's time for the all night party!!

Day 283, Graduation Speech.

   Well, its almost here. Graduation is tomorrow, and I can't believe it. It's gone by so fast. This year has had it's up and downs, but all in all, it's been great! Here is my graduation speech. I don't actually have to give the speech at graduation, but I did have to present it to my English class. So here it is... hope you enjoy.

Never Give up.

   I want to start off today by congratulating each and everyone of you. You all have done such a great job, and you've made it. It's been a long journey, but it was worth it. Sometimes it was tough, but we didn't give up, we kept going. This is what I want to talk about today, not giving up.

   "If you can dream it, you can do it." This quote was said by Walt Disney. When Walt Disney was a child, he struggled in school, and had many learning disabilities; he even had one of his teachers tell him that he would never be successful in life. Through his school years he spent his class time doodling different animals, and gave them names such as Mickey, Minnie and Donald Duck. He had the hardest time in school, but he never gave up, and he eventually graduated. Later in life, Walt came up with an idea to build an amusement park in the middle of nowhere in Anaheim California. Many of his friends, and even his family members made fun of him, saying he was just wasting his time, money, and a good piece of land. They thought no one would ever come to an amusement park with an over grown mouse as it's mascot, and little kid rides. But he kept pushing forward. He finally opened his amusement park in 1955, and twenty eight thousand people entered the park that day. It was a huge success. We all know and love it today as the American icon: Disneyland. Walt never gave ups, he didn't let what others say about him and his dreams get in the way. He knew what he wanted, and worked hard to make it come true.

   "Anyone can give up; it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's the true strength" This is one of my favorite quotes. When I was in 10th grade, I failed a few classes. I knew that I needed to make those classes up with packets, but I was stupid, and kept putting it off until my senior year. I had 12 packets to make up, including 2 online classes. Graduating seemed like an impossible dream. I wanted to give up. I didn't know how I was going to do it all. My friends often made fun of me for it, and my siblings if we ever got into a fight. "At least I graduated!" they would say, and I felt devastated. After a while I let it get to me. I was afraid I wouldn't graduate. But I didn't give up! I started working hard, and I pushed forward. I finally finished all my packets and online classes were finished early, and now I'm graduating.

   So after tomorrow, graduation will be over, and we won't be seniors anymore. We will just be regular adults with different dreams and aspirations. But we'll be better prepared because of what we've learned at Viewmont High School. Go out and fulfill those dreams. Don't listen to people who tell you that you can't do something, even if that person is you. You need to believe in yourself. Just do it, and never give up! "Work hard at work worth doing" I hope you all can go out in the world and become who you want to be and more.

Day 282, Seminary Graduation

Yup, after 4 years of sleeping through Seminary, I finally Graduated! HAHA.. Just kidding. I actually really enjoyed Seminary, and I'm going to miss it. I learned so much, and I'm so grateful for that. Thanks to all the awesome Seminary teachers! You all are so cool, and you've changed my life for the better.

Day 281, Memorial Day.

   Today my family and I did what we do best on Memorial day.. we hung out with each other. We hung out with each other because we can... because we have the freedom to be with each other, and love one another... I'm proud to be an American :)
   Scott, Sara, Cameron and little baby Ali went to lunch with my mom, dad and I.

  I also took my wonderful dogs out to the park today. They are such great dogs. I couldn't ask for better dogs. :) I love my dogs so much!

   I hope you all had a great Memorial day! I hope you spent time to remember all of the Men and Women who gave their lives so that you can live yours. I'm so grateful for them.

Day 280, Almost done!

    This is a picture of me on the first day of school this year. I can't believe how fast it has all gone... it doesn't even seem like the end of the year.. it honestly feels like there should be at least 2 more months of school left.. WHERE DID THE TIME GO??? So graduation is this Thursday, and I'm so freakin' excited! I'm so glad it's finally here. Its kinda ....bitter sweet... I'm so happy to be out of High School... but in a way, I'm going to miss it... miss the people. It's going to be weird to start doing something different with my life. School is all I know...  Going to school in the fall.. with 7 hours of school a day... have the weekends off... and then have a summer break.. but that's going to change. There won't be anymore summer breaks.. when I have work and all..It's good to start new things, but it's also hard...It kinda..... bitter sweet...

Day 279, Senior Banquet

    Ahh.. who doesn't like a nice evening with delicious food, friends, no grown ups, and dancing? That pretty much defined the Senior Banquet tonight... It was so much fun.. But I got to say, I don't think it was worth $30... but I'm so glad I went. It was a blast! It was such a great celebration for all the seniors now that it  the end of the year. This is probably the last time we will all hang out together.. (besides the all night party on Thursday)...

Day 278, SPRING FLING!

  Now since the school year is...practically over, it's time for SPRING FLING! Spring fling is where school is let out at 12 on the Friday before the last day of school, and the entire school goes to the park and has a huge party. I will be honest, I actually haven't been a big fan of Spring fling in the past two years.. but this year was so much fun.. I think it was because I'm a Senior. I don't know... it was just a blast!

   I can't believe that the school year is over! Now I can finally graduate next week! It feels like school just started! This has been the fastest moving year out of all of them... I can't believe it! But I'm so ready for summer!!!

Day 277, Sunsets....
