My 19th Birthday...

I can't believe I am 19 years old. It seems so weird... But what is even more weird is that I will be 20 YEARS OLD in one year. WOW. Now that is just.... strange. HA! I can't believe how fast the years fly by now. I remember being a kid, and waiting what seemed like forever for your Birthday to come... but now, you just want time to slow down a little.. Ya know?

Anyway. I had a GREAT Birthday :) As always, I spent the day with my family and friends. My mom made my favorite dinner. (Roast beef, and mashed potatoes with gravy.) So good. She also bought me this awesome Mickey Mouse cake. Yes, I know that I'm 19 now... but I STILL need my Mickey Mouse cake. HAHA.. It was very good.

I wonder what the next year of my life holds. I hope its good. HAHA..
Thanks everyone for making my Birthday so spacial.
I love you all! :)

Disney College Progam!

As many of you know, or can tell. I LOVE Disney. It has been my BIGGEST dream to work at Disneyland, and that dream just might come true sooner then I thought. While I was in A Christmas Carol a few months back, I had some friends in my cast who worked at Disneyland or Disney World. As you can imagine, once I found this out, I had LOADS of questions to ask them. It turns out, that they attended the Disney College Program.

The Disney College Program is a paid internship. If you are current college student, you can apply. If you are accepted, you go down to either Florida or California (depending on where you want, and where they put you) and work at one of the Disney parks. You also take a few college classes and earn College credit for the College you are currently attending.

So, at first, I didn't really want to apply. I thought... you know, I will apply in a few years, and do some other things first. But as time went by, it turns out that one of my friends (who was also in A Christmas Carol) made it into the program! She was accepted, and now she is preparing to go live in Florida, and work at Disney World. How cool is that?! So I thought, why not just give it a try and apply. So I did. I applied for the Fall semester.

I had an interview on the phone with one of the recruiting officers for Disney. It went well I think. After two very long weeks of waiting, I found out I didn't make it for the fall semester. I was upset. I mean, I get my hopes up a lot, and that's not good. After words I was having a hard time facing the fact that I wouldn't be attending. But then I got a text from my friend, the one who was accepted into the program. The text said...

"I'm sorry Robby, I know how it feels. But you know what, even miracles take a little time."

It made me so happy to hear this. This is what I told her the first time that she applied and didn't make it in. But it also made me happy, because IT'S TRUE! I can't expect to just apply last second, and hope to get in. What are the odds of that? Things take time!! So I'm going to apply in September for the spring of 2013 semester. I'm going to apply as soon as I can. So cross your fingers.

Remember dreams DO come true, and miracles take a little time!
